The Importance of Public Speaking

Communication is the backbone of our society. It allows us to form connections, influence decision and motivate change. Without communication skills, the ability to progress in the working world, and in life itself, would be nearly impossible. Public speaking is one of the most important forms of communication; it is a vital skill to have and to home. If effects simple, everyday interactions between people and can have an enormous impact on your career path and your level of success in your chosen industry.

There are many reasons why public speaking is important but the we believe that the 3 most important are:

  1. To Win Over the Crowd: The power of persuasion can carry you far and mastering public speaking results in an increase in confidence and with that, a cool and collected presence in front of an audience.
  2. To Motivate People: A great public speaker attains the power to motivate an audience to do something, stop doing something, change a behaviour or reach objectives. To motivate people, you must be able to excite and enliven your audience.
  3. To Inform: The ability to inform is the most important aspect of public speaking. An informative speech, sharing your knowledge, enhances your audience's understanding and makes them remember your words long after you've finished.
