Students, staff, and parents at Milton Primary Academy are celebrating after receiving a highly positive report from Ofsted, the school’s first under the new framework.
The school, a proud member of the Windsor Academy Trust family, was inspected under Ofsted’s rigorous new School Report Card framework. This new system has significantly raised the bar for schools across the country. Under the new framework, achieving a "Strong standard" is incredibly tough, as the "Expected standard" already represents a very high benchmark of quality.
Against this demanding new backdrop, Milton Primary Academy secured the prestigious Strong standard across five key areas of the inspection:
Attendance and behaviour
Early years
Inclusion
Leadership and governance
Personal development and wellbeing
The school also proudly achieved the rigorous 'Expected standard' in both Achievement and Curriculum and Teaching. In addition, the report confirmed that all safeguarding standards are fully met, providing absolute clarity and reassurance to families that systems to keep children safe are robust and deeply embedded in the school culture.

"Together we achieve our best" Inspectors praised the warm and respectful environment at the school, noting that the school motto, "Together we achieve our best," is lived out every day through positive attitudes and strong teamwork. The report highlighted that students are happy, confident, and love learning. Most importantly, inspectors found that the school's collaborative approach ensures that students feel safe and ready to learn every single day.
Calm and Orderly Environment: "Pupils behave extremely well, in and out of lessons.... Routines are well established and create a calm, orderly and respectful environment."
Deep Commitment to Inclusion: "Leaders are deeply committed to doing what is right for every child. This results in a highly inclusive culture where all pupils feel a real sense of belonging and can thrive."
Excellent Early Years Provision: "Children get off to a positive start in the early years.... This positive, collaborative approach means children feel safe, emotionally secure and ready to learn."
Aspirational Personal Development: "Leaders are very ambitious for pupils' personal development and wellbeing.... This thoughtful and inclusive approach means that pupils are incredibly well prepared for life beyond school."
Jemma Garside, Executive Headteacher, said:
"This outcome is a brilliant reflection of the dedication shown by everyone at Milton Primary Academy. I am incredibly lucky to work alongside our fantastic leadership team who lead the school with clear vision and total commitment. Together, we have worked tirelessly to create an environment where students feel safe and ready to learn every day. I am delighted that Ofsted noted how our inclusive culture supports every single young person to succeed, and we will continue to ensure we ‘Expect the best from the beginning’."
Leanne Bridgwood, Director of Primary at Windsor Academy Trust, commented:
"Milton Primary Academy is a wonderful example of what can be achieved when high expectations are matched with genuine care. Securing the 'Strong standard' under this incredibly tough new report card system is a magnificent achievement. The staff team works with absolute determination to ensure every single student is championed to thrive, and it is marvellous to see their hard work validated so clearly by inspectors."
Dawn Haywood, Chief Executive Officer of Windsor Academy Trust, added:
"I want to express my deep sense of pride and gratitude for the incredible staff, students, and families at Milton Primary Academy. This report is a fantastic celebration of your collective energy, passion, and resilience.
