Windsor Academy Trust’s vision and approach to emerging stronger from the pandemic will be shared on the world stage at the World Education Summit in March.

Described as the premier event of 2021 by Forbes, the World Education Summit runs from 22nd to 25th March and brings together 250 speakers and 100,000 delegates worldwide. Dawn Haywood, Deputy CEO at Windsor Academy Trust, will join a line of world-class speakers and educational leaders as she takes to the Brave Leaders stage to share her expertise on Tuesday 23rd March.

In addition to speaking, Dawn is on the opening panel with world-renowned and award-winning education researcher Professor John Hattie on Monday 22nd March and will also be hosting the Paradigm Shifters stage on Wednesday 24th March.

The appearance at the summit comes at the end of 12 months where Windsor Academy Trust’s response to the pandemic and leading approach to remote learning powered by technology has been widely praised and recognised as an example of best practice.

Alongside supporting its own students and school communities, the Trust has shared expertise and resources with other schools and school trusts and excelled through collaboration within the education sector and beyond. The Trust has also been a leading voice in the conversation about how education can emerge stronger from Covid-19, regularly featuring in articles and journals on the subject and sharing views as part of speaker appearances at virtual events.

Speaking ahead of the summit, Dawn Haywood said:

“I’m honoured to be sharing our vision and approach as we emerge stronger from the pandemic with a global audience at the World Education Summit. Our staff and the whole Windsor Academy Trust family have been incredible throughout the pandemic, and I am proud to represent them and share our work with delegates at the summit.”

Keith Sorrell, Chief Executive Officer, added:

“Dawn’s appearance at the summit is a fantastic recognition of the hard work and dedication of the Windsor Academy Trust family. I am immensely proud of how the WAT family has not just risen to the pandemic’s challenges but excelled throughout. I look forward to hearing Dawn share our vision and approach on such a high profile stage.”
