Empowering Students to Lead: Anti-Bullying Ambassador Training

We recently partnered with The Diana Award to deliver a fantastic Anti-Bullying Ambassador Training programme. This was a brilliant opportunity for our students to take the lead in strengthening a culture of kindness and inclusion across our family of schools.

At Windsor Academy Trust, our shared moral purpose is to unlock the academic and personal potential of every single child. By empowering our students with these peer-led leadership skills, we are enhancing how we keep children safe while actively supporting their personal growth. We want our students to build their character and give them the chance to discover their passions and purpose.

What the Training Involved

The Diana Award Anti-Bullying Programme raises awareness of bullying behaviour and supports schools to tackle it across the UK. The training has a strong peer-to-peer focus. This means young people are given the skills and confidence to help stop bullying in their schools long after the programme has finished.

Here is what the initial training day involved:

Bringing students together: We gathered 100 students from across our Windsor Academy Trust schools for the special training day.
Learning through action: Students took part in a series of engaging group activities and discussions.
Building confidence: The young people developed the skills needed to become official Anti-Bullying Ambassadors.
Planning for the future: Students left ready to kick-start their youth-led anti-bullying work back in their own classrooms.

Looking Ahead

This anti-bullying work is recognised as world-class because it is led by young people themselves. After the training session, our schools continue to receive support from the dedicated Anti-Bullying Team at The Diana Award.

Our new Anti-Bullying Ambassadors will now have the exciting opportunity to earn Social Action Badges by running exciting anti-bullying projects in their own schools. We are incredibly proud of our students for stepping up as leaders to make a real difference in their communities.
