Today is a day of immense pride across the entire Windsor Academy Trust family! We're thrilled to announce that two of our exceptional schools, Windsor Olympus Academy and Goldsmith Primary Academy, have been honoured in the prestigious 2025 Pearson National Teaching Awards. These awards celebrate the very best of the education sector across the UK.
Leading our celebrations, Windsor Olympus Academy has secured a coveted Silver Award for School or College Partnership of the Year. This national recognition highlights their deep, long-standing, and transformative partnership with the Newbigin Community Trust. This collaboration has led to the co-creation of both a Community Hub and an Eco Hub on the school site, providing critical support and opportunity to hundreds of local families.
Windsor Olympus Academy truly embodies its purpose of fostering a community where everyone Thrives Together. Their work exemplifies how schools can be powerful catalysts for positive change, enriching lives both inside and outside the classroom.
Sally-Jo Wilkinson, Headteacher at Windsor Olympus Academy, said: "We are absolutely thrilled and immensely proud to receive this national recognition. It is a powerful affirmation of our core purpose, 'Thriving Together'. This award celebrates the deep-rooted partnership we have with Newbigin Community Trust and the incredible things we can achieve when we work as a true community. It is a testament to our dedicated staff, our wonderful students, and our partners, who all share our vision of unlocking the academic and personal potential in every child."
The fantastic news doesn't stop there. We are also sending huge congratulations to Goldsmith Primary Academy, who has been recognised with a prestigious Bronze Award. This wonderful achievement highlights the incredible commitment, passion, and dedication of the entire team at Goldsmith in creating a nurturing and ambitious environment for their pupils. Their success is a testament to the hard work and tireless efforts of staff who go above and beyond every day.
These awards are a powerful acknowledgement of the impact our educators have, coinciding with National Thank a Teacher Day, a nationwide celebration of all those transforming lives in schools across the UK.
Leading figures in education have shared their praise:
