Windsor Academy Trust Students Celebrate Strong Post-16 Results

Sixth Form students from Windsor High School and Sixth Form and Aspire Sixth Form at Cheslyn Hay Academy and Great Wyrley Academy are celebrating after receiving their A Level and vocational results today. 

The results highlight the incredible hard work of students and staff, with students now looking forward to progressing onto their chosen universities, exciting apprenticeships and employment at leading organisations across the region.

Windsor High School and Sixth Form

Standout individual achievements include:

  • Charlie Vine has successfully achieved Grades A*, A*, A in History, Graphics and English and has secured his place to study English and History at The University of York.

  • Caitlin Keenan has successfully achieved Grades A*, A and Distinction * in Criminology, Sociology and Health and Social Care and has secured her place to study Criminology at Aberystwyth University.

  • Leena Al-Ashram has successfully achieved Grades A*, A and Distinction* in Criminology, Sociology and Health and Social Care and has secured her place to study Primary Teaching at Haybridge.

  • Lucie Simkins has successfully achieved Grades A, A, A in English, History and Law and has secured her place to study Law at The University of York.

  • Ryan Worton has successfully achieved Grades A, A, A in Business Studies, PE and Psychology and has secured his place to study Psychology at The University of Birmingham

Collecting A Level results today, Caitlin Keenan, said: “During Sixth Form I thoroughly enjoyed all of the different ways in which I have been taught, the community feeling and the positive, studious atmosphere. I will always be grateful to the teachers of Windsor and remember my Windsor experience.” 

Leena Al-Ashram also said: “I have loved studying at Windsor, specifically the staff who are friendly and supportive. It is really easy to make friends there and is an enjoyable place to be.” 

Ryan Worton said: “I joined Windsor for Sixth Form and have really enjoyed my time here. I have made lots of new friends, especially on my amazing trip to New York with the school. Thank you to all the staff for the opportunities and support they have given me.”

Stephen Lanckham, Headteacher at Windsor High School and Sixth Form, said: "We are thrilled with yet another set of amazing outcomes for our students which continues our outstanding performance at post 16. Congratulations must go to all our young people and the staff who have worked tirelessly to secure this success and ensure that all our students progress onto their destinations of choice. Aspire Sixth Form at Cheslyn Hay Academy and Great Wyrley Academy

Standout individual achievements include:

  • Bethan Cooke has successfully achieved three A* grades in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics and has secured her place to study Veterinary Physio at Harper Adams University.  

  • Emily Ranford has successfully achieved A* in English Literature and A grades in Politics and History.  She also achieved an A* in the Extended Project Qualification.  Emily has secured her place to study Law at University of Warwick.

  • Will Raby has successfully achieved A* in Politics and grade As in Economics and History.  This represents exceptional progress from Key Stage 4.

  • Harrison Postles has successfully achieved three A grades in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics and has secured his place to study Aerospace Engineering at University of Birmingham.  

  • Cameron Fowler has successfully achieved three A grades in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics and has secured his place to study Physics at Lancaster University.

  • Kai Marson has successfully achieved three A grades in Politics, History and English Literature and has secured his place to study Politics and International Relations at York University.

  • Daisy-May Arrowsmith has successfully achieved triple Distinction* in Art and she has secured her place to study Digital Marketing and Contemporary Fashion design at Liverpool.

  • Katie Pickering has successfully achieved triple Distinction* in Art.

Collecting A Level results today, Kai Marson, Head Student, said: “I don’t know what to say! I’m really pleased. I am now going to York to study Politics and International Relations and I’m excited to get started! Thanks to Mr Allen who has been a rock for the last two years, including helping me with uni this morning.” 

Daisy-May Arrowsmith said: “I’m ecstatic - I wasn’t expecting my results to be this good! I’d like to thank the art staff for helping me get through and being so supportive and pushing me to be the best. I’m hopefully doing Digital Marketing and Contemporary Fashion design at Liverpool, but I’ve also been offered a marketing apprenticeship so I’ve got a big decision to make now.”

Lucy Aston also said: “I’m really shocked! I’m so happy that I’ve managed to get into a Russell Group university; I’m off to Birmingham to study Psychology. ”

Their commitment has paid off, and it is a joy to see them embark on the next chapter of their lives with such strong foundations. This success is a true testament to their commitment and the exceptional support provided by our staff, whose unwavering dedication has been instrumental in helping every student reach their potential. We're incredibly proud of all our students and can't wait to see what the future holds. We wish them all the very best on their next adventure!”
