Get Ready for WAT a Run 2026!

16th & 17th May 2026

We are thrilled to launch the fourth annual WAT a Run event! Over the past three years, this incredible journey has united our community and raised over £40,000 to support our transformative 'Bed & Breakfast' campaign. This year, we’re aiming higher than ever before, with a target of £70,000!

The 'Bed & Breakfast' campaign remains at the heart of our mission: ensuring every young person in our schools has a bed to sleep in and breakfast to start their day. With your support, we can continue to tackle bed poverty and ensure our students are ready to learn.

Reflecting on a Record-Breaking 2025

The energy last year was electric, and the results were phenomenal! Following our 2025 event, our community raised almost £20,000, helping us power past our £40,000 cumulative milestone.

2025 Highlights:

  • Nearly 100 runners took part, with participants pushing past personal bests.

  • Six incredible individuals completed the entire 85km across both days—covering more than two full marathons.

  • Many others became official ultra-marathoners by completing the full distance on Day 2.

  • Over 500 people joined the Family Fun Run finale at Great Wyrley.

  • The Clayton Carnival at Clayton Hall Academy created a festival atmosphere of joy and purpose to close Day 1.

What’s New for 2026?

This year’s event promises to be our most impactful yet as we strive for our £70,000 target:

  • Updated Route Finale: We will follow a similar route connecting our schools, but with a new finish line! Great Wyrley Academy will be our penultimate stop, leading into a massive final celebration and fun run at Cheslyn Hay Academy.

  • Inclusive Pace: This is a community challenge, not a race. We run together at an inclusive pace of approximately 7 minutes per kilometre.
  • Varying Distances: From 1km to 17km, there are legs to accommodate all fitness levels. You can choose to run one leg, a full day, or take on the entire two-day challenge
  • Fundraising Pack: The full digital pack is now available below! It contains everything you need to know, including top training tips, fundraising ideas, and the detailed route schedule.
