Students and staff across the Windsor Academy Trust family came together to celebrate their love of books on World Book Day.
During a day of celebrations, students at Windsor Academy Trust schools got creative taking part in a 'dress a potato as a book character' competition, shared their favourite reading moments by making book bottles, and joined staff in getting dressed up as characters from books.
One particular highlight from the festivities was the Masked Reader competition. Inspired by The Masked Singer, children watched videos of teachers reading a book and had to guess who was reading, what the book was and who wrote it.
The celebrations highlighted the love of books and reading at schools across Windsor Academy Trust, where reading is a priority and children are encouraged to generate a love of reading.
Speaking on the celebrations, Matt Meckin, Director of Primary, said:
"It was fantastic to see children and staff demonstrate their love of books in such creative and engaging ways. Reading is a priority at our schools, and we know how much our students enjoy reading. World Book Day provides the perfect opportunity for children to celebrate this."
