Thinking about becoming a teacher?

Complete a teaching internship to gain hands-on experience in a school and discover if teaching is for you.

A teaching internship allows you to spend three weeks in a school and experience what teaching is really like. You'll work alongside other teachers in the classroom, gain new skills and get paid up to £400 per week. Internships take place during June and July.

Gain real experience of teaching and develop your skills

There are lots of benefits to an internship. You will:

  • gain classroom experience
  • learn from shadowing experienced teachers
  • receive one-to-one guidance from experts in their field
  • get support during the next stage of your teacher training application
  • have a guaranteed school interview for Windsor Academy Trust's teacher training programme

Who can apply?

Student teaching internships are available to anyone currently studying for a degree related to computing, maths, physics or MFL.

We'd love to hear from you if you're an undergraduate studying science, technology, engineering or maths and interested in teaching computing, maths or physics in a secondary school.
