Celebrating Our Triple Nomination at the MAT Excellence Awards

Following our award win for Environmental Trust of the Year in the 2023 MAT Excellence Awards, we have once again been recognised for our ongoing commitment to excellence, with three nominations in this year's awards. It is an honour to be shortlisted for Environmental Trust of the Year, Community Trust of the Year, and Trust Executive Team of the Year, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff, students and the entire WAT Family community.

Building on last year's win, our nomination for Environmental Trust of the Year underscores our unwavering commitment to sustainability. This recognition is directly linked to our strategic "Big Move 4," where we've pushed the boundaries of environmental stewardship. Our efforts to create a sustainable future resonate with every initiative we undertake, reflecting our commitment to the planet and future generations.
Community at the Heart
The nomination for Community Trust of the Year is particularly close to our hearts. It's a celebration of our civic leadership, the role we play as a civic anchor and the impactful connections we've forged within the local communities our schools serve. This aligns with our "Big Move 3," emphasising the importance of civic responsibility and the role of education in fostering a supportive, interconnected community. Our initiatives aim to empower not only our students but also the broader community, creating a ripple effect of positive change and mutual support.
Empowering Leadership
Our third nomination, for Trust Executive Team of the Year, acknowledges the leadership and strategic direction provided by our executive team. Our leaders are united by a shared moral purpose to unlock the academic and personal potential of all young people across our family of 15 schools, guided by our values of respect, responsibility, collaboration, innovation and pride in excellence.
